The Pillar Habits [updated in Aug 2021]
The habits introduced in this article are the foundation of every fulfilled life and the pillars for high achievements.
A good way to live your life is to plan it with clear consciousness. My design begins with a personal mission statement and values. Then I find ways to map the mission to several long-term goals, then to short-term milestones. At the bottom, my daily routine is a direct result of deduction.
The habits here are some of the building blocks sharable to others, regardless of their missions and values. I’m delighted to see they are also recommended by many role models of mine.
Daily habits
Habit 1: Get up early and sleep full
Get up early in the morning. Ideally at 4 AM, but no later than 6:30 AM. This provides you 2–4 hours to do the most important things in your life. Otherwise, all your time will likely be spent catching up on ‘necessary but unimportant tasks.
Notice, this implies sleep early, or you won’t have enough sleep which will jeopardize your longevity.
Habit 2: Reading
A person who won’t read has no advantage over one who can’t.
